  • How was Luo Han Guo discovered?

    A: Luo Han Guo originally grew as a wild fruit, but it is assumed that this fruit has been used for well over a thousand year. It is shown on the record that monks from the Sian-Fong temple knew how to harvest the fruit. Luo Han Guo has been used in beverages since the Song Dynasty (1253-1258 A.D.). Spread through monks, villagers started using this fruit for certain illnesses.

    A: Technically it is possible to have wild grown in mountains of Guangxi province —But not likely. Most of the Luo Han Guo supply now is cultivated by independent farmers.
